The Employment Tribunals that UNISON is taking on behalf of members who were victims of the TUPE transfer of Older People's Homes to Excelcare, started on 30 October in Bury St Edmunds with preliminary hearings to decide if Excelcare (the parent company of the companies set up to run each home) is the correct body against which the union should be taking action. The answer was 'yes'. We now await dates for the hearings of the case proper - although Excelcare may yet appeal the first decision. Related pages: Author: xxx |
